Botox

Anonymous
So I've done it. 4 days in and it's like an eraser - no more crows feet!!! I never thought I would get Botox but I'm 41 and creams no longer did anything and I was getting more and more depressed about my skin. $300 and should last for at least 3 mos. so, it's no more expensive than a monthly facial. My face isn't frozen or anything - can still smile and scrunch up my eyes. Just thought I would post my experience since folks on this board frequently ask about cosmetic services.

Please state your city (or county if that's more relevant).

OP here - I'm in the Boston area.

I paid $400 in DC and think that was too pricey. Anywhere recommended around here that's cheaper?

The place I went charges $15 per unit - I did 10 units on each eye - they often do 15 on each but I was nervous about that being too much.

I'm curious too. Considering for first time, want someone in DC with light touch/super "natural" (or as natural as you can be given that you're getting something totally unnatural injected into your face!).

I'm in the Boston area - I went to a medspa type of place but with a nurse that does the injections. If you want to stay natural looking, I thinking talking to the clinician about wanting to stay natural helps. Also don't do anything more than 10 units of each eye (assuming you are doing crows feet). My clinician recommended 15 units on each eye at first) so total price would have been $400) bit when I relayed I wanted to avoid any frozen face looks, she dropped the recommended amount down. I'm really really pleased with the results!!!!

I'm bumping this b/c I can't believe there aren't more responses! It seems like everyone is getting botox- so how about a few recs on places people have been happy with? I've been to 3 derm offices downtown for other stuff (cancer checks & laser hair removal): Dr Stoler; dr Fuchs; & drs berzin / isacsson. I'd like to do IPL and/or botox but I'm not sure how to pick which office,,,, ? It seems their quality would all be fairly comparable so price could dictate.... ? Anyone want to weigh in?? Please?!?!?

Start late 20s or early 30s to prevent permanent lines

I've been going to Medalase in Pentagon City and have been pleased. They charge $14.50/unit and also sell them for as little as $10/unit if you buy a package. I go to Janice and she is good about not giving me too much - I told her I still want to be able to move my brows, etc.
