Ok, this is my third dog overall. Currently we have her plus an older dog in The house. This puppy is part kangaroo! She is about 3.5 months old and 23 lbs,
She can jump the baby gates, tonight she jumped onto the kitchen counter and the patio table. I've never seen a dog jump like this lol. My current dog has never even placed her paws on the counter. What do I do about this? Obviously I am teaching her "no" And "down" when she reaches up but this just seems crazy to me Thanks for any advice |
| Water gun. When she does something she's not supposed to do, give her a jolt of water and continue to say NO! She will get the point eventually. |
| OMG funny. What kind of dog, OP? |

OP here, ok will break out a water gun. She did it again tonight, had to remove her from the room lol.
She is like a cat! Pp, she is a rescue but they think the litter was Great Pyrenees/Aussie heeler mix |

I would have her tethered to you with a leash when you walk around the house for a few weeks.
I'd also consider crating her when you're not at home. If you're gone for a prolonged period, then definitely get a dog walker. She probably needs lots of exercise, so I would take her on long walks. |

Are you sure she's 3.5 months? That's a lot of coordination for a young puppy. Was the counter from the floor? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3aonlKmW2A

I think she is 16 weeks right now, she is very coordinated. She jumped from the back of a leather chair to the counter, but she jumped about 4 feet.
I do crate her if I can't be in the same few rooms with her (if I'm taking a shower or putting kids to bed) and she is in a crate all night, she doesn't mind the crate at all. |
