2014-15 ITS shuttle bus registration

Hello new ITS families. We are accepting registration commitments for the NW shuttle bus. Registration will be first come, first serve. Please see the following google doc registration (also look out for email directly from the school). Feel free to email me directly for any questions.

I didn't apply to ITS because of location but may try next year if there is a shuttle bus--that is awesome! Just curious whether it is something a 3 or 4 year old could do or whether it's really for the older kids.

The vendor's license allows as young as 3 years old. Car seats can be left on the bus year round. Thanks!

Thanks! We will most certainly be applying next year. I would say "we should have applied this year" but given that I may have had the very last lottery number, we would never have gotten in anyway. I'm really impressed that the parents banded together to do this.

Lee and IT will have different start times, is what I heard.

Lee starts at 8:45. So the shuttle with an 8:30 arrival would indeed work.

Good question. I will inquire with the schools to see if it is something that can be worked out. FYI, we also submitted a proposal with DDOT last month to add a direct bus route from RI or Brookland metro stops that would serve ITS, Lee, Doar, and Imagine Hope. We have heard that it is a little difficult to get approved right away and they only accept applications every March, but we are hopeful it will be a possibility soon. Will post back about shuttle/Lee. What time do they let out of school?

Sorry for late response. I think you may be the parent that emailed me from another school. If not, feel free to email me.

Quick update - for any newly accepted parents, please let me know if you want more info about the shuttle. We have about 9 spots left for the 16th St shuttle.
