Silver Spring salon?

We just moved from downtown to Takoma DC and I am desperately in need of a good haircut. I have twins at home so figured it would be best to find a place nearby but don't know much of anything about Silver Spring spots. Can you recommend a salon in Silver Spring, Takoma, or even Petworth? If it matters, I have fine hair usually worn in a bob but right now a long messy ponytail after letting it grow through pregnancy and early babyhood.

If you like a nail/waxing place nearby, please mention that too
