to see a specialist or not - possibly not ovulating

Anonymous
After 7 months of ttc (I'm 31, hubby is 37) and in the past months I"ve been using opk's and getting positives, doing a variation fo the sperm meets egg plan and not getting preg. The past 2 months I decided to temp and have seen NO temp rise. This past month I had no positive opk, no temp rise, etc.

Should I just make an appt with my obgyn or maybe try and see an RE?

Make an appt with an RE but keep temping while you wait

Use an app like Fertility Friend that can detect a pattern and let you overlay months on top of each other to see the pattern. Also make sure you have good temping habits. It took me 2-3 months to get consistently good at it and 4 months to feel confident in reading the rise.

Go to bed at the same time every night. Note that alcohol impacts some people - for me even a beer or glass of wine will give me a .1 or .2 temp bump the next day. Take your temp at the same time every day, before getting out of bed, even if you go back to sleep. Be really strict about it for a month or two until you know your body.

OP I had the same issue. Started taking a lot of herbs and saw some mild changes in the temp but nothing significant. Then we went to the RE and discovered that our real problem was severe male factor... who knew??? Definitely make an appt and tell them you've been TTC for a year.
