Or does it appear that the two threads are connected in some other way? (Other than the obvious - that they're at least nominally both about helping friends who are having abortions, but seem to be gateways to going off on an anti-abortion series of tirades...)

I forgot to reply to this thread. The threads were started by different people. I didn't analyze them enough to look for other connections.
