What to leave in sold house?

Anonymous
Sold my house, started to pack and wasn't sure what I have to leave.
I've read through my contract and it doesn't say anything other than drapes, blinds, appliances and lighting.

What about:
Container Store over the door racks? I love these things and would like to bring them with us. They aren't screwed in.
Coat hooks near entry door?
Shower curtains? I wasn't sure if it's weirder to leave used shower curtains or take them with us?
Potted plants on the deck?

Thanks!

Take all that stuff (especially the shower curtains). And if you have any questions I'd say best bet is to make a list and send it to your agent, they are most familiar with your contract. But the things you list do not typically convey to the buyer.

I wouldn't expect you to leave any of those things (except maybe the coat hooks, but I wouldn't be bothered by them being gone).

I'd be really weirded out if you left me used shower curtains. If you don't want them in your new house, throw them away so I don't have to.

You can take all that stuff. What I leave is a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom.

When my mom and dad left the house my sister and called home, my mom bought a new shower curtain and hand towels for the bathrooms and left them as a house warming gift. It helped that the buyers had a small child that had the same first name as my mom's maiden name.

I leave the local take out menus and a list of random things I've learned about the house --- like where the internet booster is or where the main cable line is.

Leave the manuals for all the appliances!!! PLEASEEE!!!

Appliance manuals.

Names and numbers of go-to plumbers, electricians, painters, HVAC firm, security firm, etc. who know your house and can help new owners keep it in working order.

We left a binder of this info and it's now in the hands of a third owner--each one adds on to it.

I would not leave any of what you list, other than coat hooks if you desire.

I google appliances

If the coat hooks are screwed in I'd leave those, but not anything else-- except appliance manuals

We just sold our home and I love this idea. I feel like the Grinch who stole Christmas taking every last item. A shower curtain/ hand towels are a perfect gift. We will also definitely leave behind some TP, a few dishwasher tablets, and soaps. I always appreciate it when a rental house has those items.

You lost me. What does the name have anything to do with?

We only left blinds.

Be sure to leave a mess, including an oil painting worth $5000!

Only leave manuals and a roll of toilet paper for moving day.
