We had good experiences with Dave's Floor and More, from Maryland. I'd have to Google the number.

Here it is: [phone]. Dave's doesn't always answer his phone immediately, but the work he does is excellent. We used him for sanding existing floors and installing new wood floor, replacing carpet.

K&k flooring - they have a website and I believe are located in northern Virginia. Great work product and relatively decent prices.
