The usual arrogant, self-righteous "i'm right about everything" attitude along with a healthy dose of uncaring sociopathy and the notion of just trying to shout everyone else down rather than actually listening to their genuine and legitimate concerns.
You just described a leftist, sorry.

So why do you think the GOP is so clueless about this issue being a huge loser for them at the ballot box?

The majority of MAGA don't believe anything that doesn't support their world-view. They are selective in their beliefs and aren't willing to be convinced otherwise.
You' d be surprised. Ever have a heart to heart with one? an honest discussion?

I have. They’re mad but they don’t seem to know why they’re mad. Their stated reasons never hold up.

This guy is a pretty good example of that: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/01/22/new-hampshire-primary-voter-00136850

The author of this piece was interviewed on the Bulwark podcast today. It was incredibly disturbing.

I don’t do podcasts. Would you mind giving a synopsis?

Did not hear the podcast but the article does not discuss abortion at all. This guy is among the voters that does not figure abortion into his vote in any way apparently or at least not enough to bother to mention it in an article about the 2024 election.

It does not seem to matter how many times the message is sent in special elections that this issue is critical and motivating and will drive voters turnout and impact the 2024 election. For this voter and many others like him, it just does not exist as an issue. I suspect that even after the 2024 election is over and done with and the pro choice candidate has won, this type of voter will still be unable to grasp the importance of this issue.

Geee, I cannot understand why an entitled white guy couldn't fathom why abortion would be an issue.

shrug

(sarcasm, for those who need the explanation)

He has three children...why doesn't he get an earful about it from them or his wife?

Three boys. Unfortunately, clowns like this don’t tend to understand anything until it’s their own daughters getting raped and dragged through the mud, or their own daughters dying from a miscarriage gone septic. They lack empathy. They don’t actually want accountability for themselves or anyone that looks like them, just the people they don’t like.

You literally have to rub their faces in their own mess before facts and reality start to sink in. And even then, it’s a tough sell.

Not necessarily. There are plenty of families who throw out daughters, and sons, who do not do what their parents approve of.

I am surprised people don’t mention the effect abortion bans will have on teenage pregnancies and rape accusations. More women or girls might claim rape just to qualify for abortion in states where only rape is a qualifying circumstance . You would think mothers with sons would more concerned the same way a mother with daughters would be considered. Going back to the days of a baby left on a church doorstep or in a trash bag or in a hanger is just shameful. Banning abortion doesn’t ban the want or necessity to abort. All we are going to lead to is more back alley abortions, statutory rape charges, and teenage pregnancies

I see this point, but I doubt we will suddenly see an increase in rapes being prosecuted. Going back to the dark ages means really going back. 10 year old got impregnated by her uncle? Stone that little hussy! Maybe she’ll stop strutting her stuff once a baby rips open her lower half.

There’s no rape in Texas, remember? Abbott said it there were going to stop it. So there isn’t any anymore, at least not in Texas. Other states should do the same and just end rape by announcing it.

Well, we learned from Republican Senate candidate and biologist, Todd Akin, that women don't get pregnant from "legitimate rape" because "the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down."

That guy can’t make up his mind. The Army is well rid of him. He gets more than $100k in military retirement. I bet Trump would change that. He hates the military.
