if so, did you go off as soon as you got BFP or stay on for pregnancy? Pros and cons and how you went through process of deciding whether to take? I was on them for post partum anxiety for my DC #1, and went off when I started TTC #2, but IVF round 2 has been a longer road than planned and I kinda wish I were back on them ... but not sure it makes sense to go on now b/c it takes a while to kick in and I'd want to go off for a BFP so any given month it wouldn't be worth it but if I knew it were taking a lot longer, it would be...
Zoloft. I was told it was not a problem.
I took it as well, as advised by a psychiatrist specializing in women with fertility issues. (In 2011--not sure if there is new research.) If you search the forum you'll see a couple threads on this issue.
To the two PP did you go off when you got a BFP or stay on during pregnancy? I would ideally like to go off when get a BFP - as it's more to deal with anxiety of ivf process ...
PP 17:28 here -- I stayed on it after BFP. DD is healthy and I'm glad I was able to have good mental health during IVF cycles, during pregnancy, and after her birth.
Zoloft made me very sick to my stomach. I was put on Effexor XR. It has a mixed reputation for pregnancy. My MFM and OB both agreed I could stay on it since it worked. Carried to term. Son is healthy. Took it while nursing him 16 months. Son doing fine.
Previous poster. Meant to say I took it during my entire pregnancy.
I took Zoloft during IVF and then opted to go off of it during pregnancy because I felt pretty good (hormones, I suspect). I would have been fine staying on it per my perinatalogist (I was high risk) and would have gone back on it if my trial off of it didn't go well. Baby is now 6 months old and healthy. I started back up on it about 3 or 4 months post-partum, mostly for mood stabilization.
