Recommend your slow cooker

I would like to know this too and I am also looking for one that does not have that toxic non-stick coating or lead or cadmium in the ceramic part where the food is cooked.

I have this one from All-clad. Not sure if you would consider it toxic, but I love it. You can use the insert on the stove top to brown meat.

It's hard to find one that does both. We brown in a regular pan and use a cheap slow cooker.

me too. i didn't even know you could brown in a slow cooker.

and what's this about toxins?!!! how can i find out if mine has lead and cadmium?
