What bread do you use for sandwiches if you are trying to be gluten or wheat-free?

My kid gets stomachaches so want to try and see if eliminating gluten will help. But I need a bread that she'll like. If you have a brand and also what store to buy at, that would be great!
TIA.

Udi's. It is cheapest at MOM's in Rockville but Giant Safeway, Harris Teeter, and all the major chains carry it.

I make sandwiches with Udis bread. I like to toast it a little bit first - but not too much so it stays soft.

I also use corn tortillas to make roll ups with turkey and cheese.

And - lastly - gluten free pancakes are another option for sandwiches. You can get them in the frozen health food section.

We make our own. This is the best bread ever and is incredibly easy. It's written for a bread machine but you can do it by hand, with no kneading or magic, and it comes out great. I use the millet flour, not oat flour--we just like that flavor better.

If you like baking, I urge you to go for this. Did I mention it's super easy? If you don't want to bake your own, then +1 for Udi's at MOM and +1 for putting things in corn tortillas. Those are our backups.

All gluten-free bread should be kept in the freezer until you use it. You can defrost in the toaster. (I actually just make everything on light toast, pretty much.) In the grocery store, you'll find it in the freezer case.

Roll ups with no bread, lettuce wraps, or corn tortillas.

ok! I'll try Udi's and corn tortillas and of course I'll check out this mysteriously easy bread recipe! Thank you all!

please, please, please get your kid tested for celiac before you stop eating wheat so that the results are accurate.

I like Against the Grain; I've found it at Lilit Cafe.

Just don't eat bread. That's what I do. eat the hamburger without the bun, chicken salad, egg salad, ham and cheese rollups.

Kids often like "sandwiches" rolled up in leaf lettuce.

Just FYI, most of the gluten-free breads are in the freezer section of the grocery store and are always better when toasted. Rudi's is another tasty brand.

Check ingredients on corn tortillas. My old favorite brand, la baneritas, now contains parabens as preservatives.
