MCPS Job Fair - did anyone get an offer?

| Just wondering if anyone was given an offer from the 2 job fairs last week. I know quite a few teachers (already in the system) who are still looking (including me!). |

| They definitely do offer jobs after job fair, but you have to be a great fit. Remember, they interview about 6-7 people in one day for each position. Last year I had 7 interviews and got offers to most, but my SIL had a lot less experience than me and did not get any offers. She was still able to get a job' just after job fair. What is your experience for the position you interviewed for? Do you know the curriculum for that position? |

| Remember that all schools are required to attend job fair and interview candidates, even if they a) don't have any vacant positions at this time or b) have vacant positions on paper but know who they want to fill them (for example, they have a staff development teacher opening and know they want someone already on staff for the job). Schools couldn't "move" people from within the building officially until this past Friday. It might not be about you at all. |
