| and do you think it was really just the meds or was it stress eating etc.? i am doing a FET cycle, and ive gained 3 lbs and I really dont think my diet has changed AT ALL. feel like i look pregnant. |
| I gained about 10 lbs during my fresh cycle but did not gain anything during my FET. During the fresh cycle i looked about 4 months pregnant (but wasnt). |
| About 10 pounds on a fresh cycle - was mostly water gain I think. Didn't worry about it. Got pregnant and had a healthy baby and that's what mattered. Lost baby weight in five months but didn't worry about that either. |

I gained a few pound of water during my first cycle. I got a BFP but later miscarried before I likely gained any pregnancy weight. It came off pretty quickly. I did not gain for subsequent cycles (gatorade helped prevent water retention) until I finally got another BFP that stuck.
I think my experience is not typical, though. I had relatively low stim doses which may have prevented a lot of weight gain. |
| 10 lb in 1 year with 3 failed IVFs |
| 5 pounds per cycle x 4 fresh cycles = 20 pounds. All in my belly. |
| 5 lbs in two cycles. |
up and down on the weight! But really, if weight is an issue--just wait until you get pregnant! Then you'll really pack on the pounds
|
| 5:43 poster again. Weight gain plus memory loss. |
| I had three donor cycles (so no stim drugs or retrievals for me), and I gained weight just from the estrogen/progesterone. I don't weigh myself regularly, so I can't be super specific about poundage, but I know it was around 5 pounds. Also my boobs got bigger & I was bloated, so I *looked* bigger, actual weight aside. |
|
When I got pregnant on my 3rd fresh cycle, I was up 5lbs from where I started.
When I got pregnant with my 2nd child after 2 more cycles, I was up 5 more lbs. All in my belly, unlike preg weight which was more evenly distributed. |
| 10 pounds during fresh cycle. My boss guessed I was pregnant at 8 weeks because of all the bloating. Unprofessional of him to ask me, and I was hoping to wait much longer to tell him! |

Had a first trimester miscarriage followed in close succession by three freeze-all IVFs. Went to frozen transfer a month after that and weighed 20 pounds more than I weighed before the miscarriage. Definitely the drugs and/or drug-induced hormone changes for me. Docs like to say we just overeat while cycling, but I was always very careful.
Good news was that I got pregnant and the baby seemed to suck all the IVF fat away from the rest of my body so losing the weight after delivery was effortless. |

Not to be Debbie Downer, but this was not my experience at all. I'm the 4 cycles x 5 pounds PP. After getting pregnancy on my 5th cycle, I had no trouble losing the pregnancy weight, but those 20 IVF pounds are still here 18 months later despite much hard work to get rid of them. |
