My daughter placed #57 for the pre-k waitlist at Judith Hoyer. Any experience with the waitlist at this school?
It won't move that much. We didn't get in for pre-k at Goddard Montessori and we were 21st.
Is the number on the update website the waitlist number?
Yes . . . we were number 116!!! Oh well. I know the program at Judith Hoyer only has 40 seats.
Anyone have a lower number for the Montessori wait list (i.e. 1 - 5)?
For folks with lower numbers on the Goddard Montessori waitlist, you might want to check in with the Pupil Accounting & Boundaries dept. Last year they were slow to contact my friend to notify her that a position opened for her child. She only knew because she had another child enrolled at RGMS and inquired at the school when she was visiting to learn that there was an opening. Additionally, another parent at the school mentioned that the school was not at capacity (i.e. there may be opportunity for more enrollment). It definitely would not hurt to inquire. Good Luck!!!
Ran into a parent today who has a child who was #4 on the wait list for Montessori. The spot was for 1st grade. They accepted then declined because it was "the unknown" for them. One more opportunity for another child. Hopefully, someone out there can benefit, if the administration contacts folks. I have heard in the past that the school had openings, but for some reason wait list folks were not contacted.
If you call to check on the waitlist will they respond?
Yes, they will respond. It definitely can't hurt. You can't always trust that communications between the different offices happen in a timely manner. |
