Live in NW DC. 8 years old, pretty good, and obsessed. Looking for high-end products and good service. TIA!

Sports Authority, or go online. Plenty of choices.

Really? I've never been to the Bethesda Modell's, but I'd say the one in Columbia Heights carries low- to mid-range stuff and offers terrible service (albeit decent prices). Is the Bethesda one really that different?

We get our son's glove off Amazon, but he's a lefty and it's hard to find a good selection in b&m stores.

Bad idea to buy online without first trying one on at the store.

I agree you want to try a glove first. Dick's has the largest selection by far around here but if you are not picky any of the sporting goods stores works with Sports Authority having a better selection than Modells. Prices are all the same unless there is some sale. If you are up for a used glove, Play it Again Sams (there is one in Rockville) can be good. I got a great deal on a catcher's glove there once that was all broken in.
