Current OOB parents

Would you leave your current OOB school that is thriving ( up and coming) for another public/charter that is thriving as well and has a better reputation. Both schools offer the same language immersion model. What would be a deal breaker? Would you risk not being able to return to your current school that you are out of bounds for?

If you are happy at your current school, I would stay, unless you think it won't meet your child's needs down the road and the other school in question will. Commute might also make me move. Good luck.

Only if one was considerably closer

We left a DCPS dual language school for a DCPCS. It was the best thing I did for my child.

Was it your IB school, therefore you could return if the DCPCS didn't work out?

Not if I were happy at the current school. Given your reservations about losing the chance to return, it sounds like you're happy enough with the current situation that it is not worth asking your child to make another transition for something that other people think is better but is still untested by your family.
