blind date tomorrow, what should i wear?

I am 40, recently divorced and have a blind date tomorrow night. We are meeting at a bar/restaurant. Thinking of wearing dark jeans and a cute top. Boots or flats? Any suggestions would be greatlyaappreciated.

I wore white jeans today after seeing a woman earlier this week wearing wide leg white pants and a flowing black top with pointed black flats, and thought to myself, she's right- it's time.

I like it. But, I'd vote for ankle boots with a heel (you look slimmer and taller in heels than flats). I am thinking a chunky heeled boot.

Not too much jewelry. Nice earrings. I have been on a bunch of these lately -- what you wear isn't really all that important. You'll either click or not.

DON'T wear anything quilted that screams soccer mom. If you have a nice one, wear a leather jacket.
