Hypothyroid and Endocrinologist recs in Rockville/shady grove area?

Anonymous
Went to GP and my TSH level came back at 4.2 which is borderline high, but in their normal range, but from my understanding the new guideline say above 3 is hight. I have other symptom of hypothyroidism like weight issue/ difficult losing weight even with exercise and calories counting, hands and feet are always cold, more tired than usual. So probably best to discuss with endo and have T3 and T4 testes as well.

Does your endocrinologist treat for this level?

Dr Herbert Juarbe at Washington Endocrinology, which is in Gaithersburg just off 270 at exit 10 (office park next to Dogfish Head). I saw Dr Juarbe for post-partum thyroid issues and he was extremely thorough with the testing. Not warm and fuzzy, but my experience was still very good. My husband has also seen Dr Chidakel at the same practice (not for thyroid issues though), and we liked him as well. The office staff are excellent and very helpful and responsive.

Sorry, PP from above, and just saw the last question of your post, OP. I don't know what levels Dr. Juarbe treats for, I'm sorry.
