We got into Lee for PK-3 and have a very low WL # for Two rivers. I love the idea of Montessori but have heard for a long time Two Rivers is amazing. If 2 rivers called, what would you do? We live in upper EOTP NW so commute will be a trek regardless... Though Two Rivers is walking distance from the metro.
I'm leaning staying at Lee but intrigued at WWYD? |
I'd take Two Rivers. I think it's everybody's dream school. Lee might be great but it's untested. |
BTW, what are your waitlist numbers elsewhere? |
Two Rivers. Not even close. I like the concept of Montessori, and thing the Lee leadership is strong based on my interactions with their team, but I like the through 8 option, I like the permanent space, and I like the known entity of TR. |
Two Rivers in a heartbeat. |
Two rivers. In a second. |
The commute is gonna suck. |
Two Rivers hands down...but yeah, your commute will suck. |
Lee. Better commute and nothing beats montessori. |
That commute is going to get old real fast. |
I would argue TR on the better commute, particularly if you are Metroing. Rhode Island Ave (which I use daily) is so hit or miss if you are driving. Some days 12 minutes to downtown, some days 62 minutes. |
OP here. Thanks everyone! We're in the 30's for MV, which we would take in a heart beat, but I'm not liking my odds there vs TR. And, it's also pretty far downtown. In the mid 20's at Shephard but I think I have less of a chance there than anywhere!
Anyone make the commute to TR currently from upper NW? |
Two Rivers - Go with proven. |
OK - so where do you think Lee is going to get space 2 years from now?
Do you think it could be worse than 2 Rivers? I know it is a huge crap shoot - but think about where the open space is. Look where charters have moved over the last 5 years. What spaces were vacated - who moved in behind them etc. |
I love love loved two rivers. no question. |
