I only do when their accent comes off as very affected or like a put on. It's inauthentic. |
Travis and Jason literally have the exact same career trajectory, work for the same umbrella organization, and are very close and spend a lot of time together. It is weird that Travis has a totally different manner of speaking to Jason (and that Travis' manner of speaking sound like something he adopted as an adult, in particular). |
Maybe she is very picky, has bad taste in men, and is bad at relationships. Just spit ballin' here. |
I don't speak just like my sisters and brother and we all grew up in the same house. Not weird. People are individuals. |
Curious. Do you think Kelly Preston had an affected, inauthentic voice? Her brother doesn't talk that way. I couldn't believe she grew up in Hawaii but I never thought she was trying to put anything on. |
Taylor obviously has Botox and fillers, but it’s done tastefully. |
I am not familiar with Kelly Preson's voice (lol is it the 90s) but lots of people in entertainment adopt a new accent. It's very common! Madonna's speech is very affected. Gwyneth Paltrow's speech is affected. Emma Stone sometimes has an affected speech pattern. Elijah Wood. I could think of a bunch of others. It's just very common. Plus a lot of actors are natural mimics so they sometimes fall into affected speech easily and it becomes part of their persona. Anyway, Travis definitely has affected speech and his specifically mimics black vernacular speech as well as a specific kind of speech pattern you hear with black rappers and athletes, this kind of "suave" voice where they will often drop the ending consonants to smooth out their speech. It's like the male version of "come hither" voice. You an hear it in the video above towards the end when he's like "was it an electric." It's definitely an affected way of speaking. Whether it annoys you or not will be a personal thing. His does kind of grate on me and feels more inauthentic than some of the other examples I gave, though some of those can annoy me too in specific situations. |
Travis at times can act like a street thug. They don’t call him “killatrav” for nothing. |
TK’s friend group has been exclusively black since childhood. Also the schools both brothers attended were predominantly black. I’m actually surprised that Jason is so “white” acting considering the environment in which he was raised. |
The same can be said about Taylor. Taylor was with Joe for six years. And with all of Taylor’s wealth and accomplishments he still didn’t want to be with her. So what’s Taylor’s problem then? |
I think Taylor is dating her exact level: rich guy, not an intellectual, hardworking, talented, LOVES attention, narcissistic and hyper, fickle, not humble, and has a strong, solid family that was instrumental in his success. |
Ok this annoys me about Swifites. Travis has two previous girlfriends. Kayla is the woman he dated for 5 years who is a sports journalist and model with her own following. She made him more known while they were dating. She keeps getting confused with the other girlfriend who runs her mouth bc well I’ll let you figure out why certain people can’t tell them apart. Kayla has barely spoken about them if at all. I haven’t seen her say anything about them. Saying after a 5 year relationship you expected to be married isn’t bitter. It’s honest and most women expect to be married after a year or two. It is well known he cheated on her and that’s why they split. |
And is she not bitter for constantly singing about her past relationships? Why is everyone else bitter but never Taylor Swift? |
And this right here is another reason why there is no way this is a real relationship. |
He isn't going to maintain this level of courtship with her (he's really self-absorbed) and she'll feel ignored and write another song about it. |
