Because supporting a racist and racism....

Although I do not like Trump and didn't vote for him...I would not say that everyone who does should be deemed racist or supporting racism. We'll just have to agree to disagree. He is the democratically elected POTUS whether we like it or not.

My DD received her GS Gold Award a few yrs ago and received various letters of recognition, including one from Trump who is the current POTUS whether we like it or not. The letter is kept along with others from Senator Tim Kaine, etc. We would never destroy the letter as some extreme leftists might because again, he's still the POTUS. Although admittedly my DD just rolled her eyes when she got the letter

And as previously stated...this is why the GOYA CEO said what he said....he said the politically correct and polite thing to the democratically elected POTUS. Agree 100% that the outrage is ridiculous.

Now you, Sir or Madam, sound completely reasonable.

"we are so lucky to have Trump" is ridiculous. It's bordering on cult worship. This country and Trump are the laughing stock of the world.

DP here. Yeah, that's over top, but that's how you get things from Trump. I'd call it politically expedient more than polite or politically correct.

I am with you. I am tried of people like the conservative troll telling me how stupid I am and I must buy Goya bean. I must support trump and all the repugnant people flocking to him. He is the false prophet if ever there was one.

No one - NO ONE - has told anyone they "must buy Goya bean" or that you "must support Trump." Not one person. We're merely mocking you for this silly, silly boycott that makes you all look even more juvenile than usual. No one actually cares what brands you buy, but it certainly is funny to picture you self-righteous twits marching up to the cashier with your carts full of virtue groceries.

Also - calling people you disagree with "conservative trolls" just reveals so much more about you than those you disagree with.

Well, that made me laugh. I picture PP going to checkout with a cartful of organic dried beans while another DCUMer follows with Goya canned beans. At checkout they argue about which one of them is virtue signaling. First one drives away in a Tesla and the second drives away in a coal-fired monster truck.

Do you really know anyone who drives a "coal-fired monster truck"? I certainly don't.

That's not the point. I don't know anyone who drives a Tesla either.

And to just to be clear, if someone is buying extra Goya products because of this, then they are virtue signalling.

Yes. Exactly.

But some on the right think only the left virtue signals.

I bought some for the first time.
I don't consider it a virtue signal at all. I consider it support of a business that is being excoriated by the left because the owner said something they didn't like.

Like I said, some on the right think only the left virtue signals. But this is a virtue signal right here. People on the left don't think they are virtue signalling either. They usually state it in terms of some high minded principle, just like you did.
