NP. You can't be all things to all people. I hope you in your life you advocate with your voice, time, and money vehemently for these people you speak about. |
The next time I'm the star of a TV show with millions of people watching and filthy fucking rich, I'll be sure to do so. |
Quick, a house is on fire and you can save a dog or a child..... Yeah, I thought so.... |
Yet another NP. But what do you do, now, with what resources of money, time, talent, energy, etc., that you have? You think there is "no excuse" for Lisa not to help people (though, clearly, she DOES contribute time and money to many charities, not just animal causes), but you are sitting here making excuses for why YOU don't help people in need. You get an excuse, but she doesn't? (And she DOES help people.) |
FFS, no one here is saying animal lives are the only lives that matter. What we ARE saying is that you can help people and can ALSO help animals, and guess what? LVP does just that. She donates money and her time/fame to human charities. It's that simple. She DOES. In the time it takes you to write another post on this, you can be online donating even $25 to a worthy cause, or posting to FB to raise awareness. Let's see what you will do. |
Why are you putting "no excuse" in quotes? I never said that. Read what I said. Dogs are great. Lovely to help dogs. If I had that platform and her money, I wouldn't choose dogs as my top priority. I can help people all day long (and maybe I do or don't, why is that point?), but I don't have her platform or her resources so it's apples and oranges. |
But only one charity, the dog one, gets the prominent placement over and over again on the Bravo shows. That's a fact. That's all the PP is pointing out. Great that she helps other charities, but the one that gets featured on her TV show is clearly getting next-level exposure. |
NP. First off, LVP adopted a child. How is THAT not helping people, hmm? Second, she is a huge LGBTQ supporter. From her blog this week: "But it is OUR priority, many of you know speaking on behalf of the LGBTQ community, as an advocate for equal rights, supporting Trevor Project, children with alopecia, the homeless ...the list goes on...we can only do so much. But if we can create a better world for man's best friend, by utilizing the platforms afforded to us, then that is what we shall do." And there you have it. |
^^^^ thank you for this! I completely agree w/ all you are saying. |
Back to Rinna..
Just caught up on the last few episodes last night. She is a crazy woman with a really bad lying problem and is the queen of deflection. She knew she said those things and had to use the "selective amnesia" card to until she could figure out a way to spin it so it wouldn't sound as bad. She finally decided she could use the sympathy card with loss of her family member to explain her way out of those horrible things she said. How any of these women can stand by her baffles me, especially Eileen. I loved how Erika just sat back and occasionally rolled her eyes during all that spinning, that was my reaction too. So many hot messes gathered around that table of cheesecake. |
Erika's reaction to Rinna admitting the truth: "Oh, you done effed up. You are effed." Eileen's reaction: SAME, but she can't bring herself to actually say it! LOL ... distancing! Carnie Wilson rolling up and being like, "Why are you in here? Get out there and eat some damn cheesecake" was hilarious. |
You sound like such a joy to be around. Go contribute to the Human Fund. From what I know about it, you don't have be filthy fucking rich. |
Does this mean the Kim storyline is done? No more talk about her sobriety? Please?
|
Man I hope so. I was over that two seasons ago. |
I wouldn't have admitted it to those bitches either. I think Rinna is correct about what she said about Kim. |
