| About time. Principal there is a terrible fit. Exodus of good staff over the last 3 years. |
|
Dear Future Barcoft parents:
You have no hope of Barcoft having better demographics. You are screwed. Get together with the Randolph parents and figure something out. |
| Staff turnover is high at many So. Arlington schools. Was there a similar rate under the previous Barcroft principal? |
The AP may have resigned for personal, rather than professional, reasons. His family just had another child and Barcroft was a very long commute for him. Aside from the issue of test scores, how is the principal a hot mess? Seriously asking. |
| Not a similar rate under prior princ. Many staff committed to the students & job, but saw the situation after a year or two & moved elsewhere in APS or Alexandria. Many. Look at the enrollment. Mid class families leaving in droves. Two years ago they projected crisis overcrowding. Now it's under enrolled! Used to be a hidden gem in Arl. It's a shame. Princ doesn't value those families. It shows. |
| Barcroft families can place their kids in Randolph to get a traditional school year. Maybe all of the middle class families should start sending their kids to Randolph? It might be a big enough cohort of kids, if you combined both neighborhoods. Right now they are overwhelmed by poverty within each school's boundary, with no hope of better demographics. |
| So is the rumor about the AP and the extra training for the principal true? Those of us zoned for this school would like to know. |
Basic template of our public schools since we aren't electing Trump. Get used to it. |
Wut? Are you suggesting that electing Trump would have any positive effect on public education? No, just no. Move along. |
That's a serious, and laughable, stretch. |
The problem is ESOL illegals, get used it |
The kids are legal, get used to it. |
No, the problem is you. You are a cancer on this earth. Nobody is voting for your candidate. He could not be a more ridiculous if he were trying. Maybe he is trying? I've been thinking for a while now that he's just trolling the Tea Party wing of the Republican party and the idiots who stood by and let them take over your pathetic excuse for a political party. |
| The ESOL children are not the problem. The fact that they are all shoe horned into a couple of schools is the problem. |
Don't care either way but the facts are the esol population, look at stats |
