I know this year is different, but just humor me please! I have heard that Appletrees in the past have gone through their whole waitlists. But what others have substantial waitlist movement? |
Imagine Hope, Ingenuity Prep, Eagle Academy, Potomac Lighthouse, some CAPS and ROOTS. |
Garfield, Lucy Moten, Ketchem, King, Leckie, Malcolm X, Orr Elementary. |
I would guess JO Wilson, Miner, Payne, Tyler Traditional, Amidon-Bowen, Walker Jones on/near the Hill |
Bridges as well, though that may change now that they are expanding to elementary grades. I hear that Bridges is excellent. |
Thanks. This is helpful! |
I think Seaton has as well. |
Shining Stars PCS - we were right around #120 last year and got in. |
Shining Stars is not a spanish language program right? It's just montessori? |
Burroughs. |
Appletree Columbia Heights does. Not the other Appletree campuses. |
Thanks, pp. Any idea why this is the case (or at least, was the case before common lottery?) Is it for some reason less desirable than the others? |
The CH location has a significantly higher number of seats compared to the other locations |
yes, CH is much larger. We were about #50 last year for PK3 at Amidon and never got called. |
Just Montessori. We were in the 100s as well and got in and have been happy there despite the growing pains it's experiencing this year. They are not on the common lottery, though and likely still accepting applications: http://www.ss-montessori.org/admissions/interest-application.htm |
