Where to Buy a Bathing Suit?

I need to buy a bathing suit for an upcoming vacation later this month. I have not had much success with ordering bathing suits online so I'm looking for stores that might have a decent selection right now. The only places I can think of are "South Moon Under" and "Everything but Water"??? (I think that is what it is called) by Nordstrom's in Tysons.

Honestly, i love J.Crew bathing suits. They don't stretch and fade easily and I like their cuts. The colors and styles are cute and you can mix and match.

Ditto for J. Crew. And if they don't have your size/color/style, you can order from the store and there's no shipping. And you can return to the store as well.

I actually still have a J Crew bathing suit from 15 years ago! So I will try J Crew, before I start calling the stores has anyone seen bathing suits in the store? The easiest locations for me to go to would be Tyson's, Pentagon City or Georgetown. If not, thanks for the tip about being able to return in stores.

I find the surfing brands like roxy much more flattering than j crew. They have them at south moon under.

I bought a great suit made by Karla Koletta at Sylene in CC. It's flattering and has brought me a lot of compliments.

funny...i was just shopping this morning. i like lands end for the bending etc. at the beach. their selection this year is....farty! the lady i spoke to said they will be coming out with lots more before spring. overstocks has some nice ones.

What do you think is a fair amount to pay for a bathing suit? Paying $100 just feels outrageous to me. Now, if I could find a suit that hid all my flaws, I might pay $500 but I just don't think that exists.

I was at Target recently and they seemed to have a huge selection.
