Can one burn one's lungs taking something out of the oven?

Can one burn one's lungs taking something out of the oven (that was in the back)? Oven was at 325. My lungs feel weird now. I don't know if I breathed or not while reaching back there but it took awhile to properly grasp with the oven mitt.

Not at 325. I regularly take things out of my oven at 450.

No, not at 325. That is quite a low setting.
You can scald your lungs by inhaling superheated steam (like if a boiler burst), but a home oven should be safe. I routinely roast vegetables at 450-500.

I've had that happen before, but I think it was closer to 500 and my lungs have some problems.

Maybe you inhaled some gas?
