We got in for PK3. Just curious if anyone else got on the board got in and is thinking of going and/or if there are any parents of current students there who have feedback.

Good for you - congrats. We applied but got waitlisted in the 40s. I hope they have some movement but I really doubt it. Although we really liked the tour of the school, there were a few things about it that bothered me. I was troubled by the lack of parent involvement (no PTA). No outdoor space. The principal, although nice, didn't seem to have a grasp of some pretty basic information. For instance, she didn't know where the school feeds into. But then there were some pretty good aspects. I was impressed by how the students were engaged during our classroom visits. So I was on the fence about this school. I'm not devastated that we didn't get in. Just somewhat bummed.

I toured this school and really wanted to like it. It's half a block from my office, which would be so convenient. But I also found the staff lacking basic info (I showed up for a tour listed on their web site and they didn't know it was a tour day -- the principal was out) and they had no idea how many kids were waitlisted the year before or how far they got on the list. I also was concerned about the lack of parental involvement. I only speak English and a staff member frankly told me I'll have a hard time communicating with other parents.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, but I doubt it. They didn't take anyone off the waitlist last year, so I'd be surprised if they took anyone off the waitlist this year.
