how to prepare a bag of frozen broccoli?

Anonymous
We have no other greens in the house for dinner tonight. But a bag of frozen broccoli.

What's the best way to prepare it?

I also have:

feta cheese
mexican shredded cheese
almonds
a lot of red and orange baby peppers
parm cheese
sliced almonds
and pantry staples

Empty bag into bowl.
Microwave on high till done.
Drain.
Optional: Add butter, salt, or other preferred condiment(s).

Put a small amount of water in pot. Boil. Put in frozen broccoli and cover. Allow to steam about 7-8 min. Drain remaining water. Generously sprinkle Mexican cheese blend over hot broccoli. Cover for a min to allow melting. Easy and delish.

LOL! I could have done that!

I went with stir fry , no oil, for about 2 minutes (get rid of moisture), then add a little oiive oil and garlic, and crushed red pepper, salt and pepper.

heat pan - add olive oil and a garlic clove -- dump in bag of frozen broccoli. Cover. when it starts to brown and stick, add a tiny bit of water to keep it from burning. When soft, remove from heat - salt and pepper to taste.

Defrost. drain/dry as best you can. Toss with olive oil, garlic, pepper flakes. Put on a cookie sheet in a hot (450) oven, take out when browned, probably about 25 min.

Thanks! That would have worked better than stir frying.

Yeah, it's almost impossible to stir-fry with frozen vegetables--there's just too much water. It always turns into stir-steaming.
