Hilaria Baldwin - At it again

I think the Spanish thing is just a sex dynamic thing between the two of them and Hil and Alec have now drawn us into it. They are like people who role play but in public. Yuck.

The boys all have a common American name as one of their middle names. I suppose they could always choose to go by one of their middle names when they are older.

What are the other names?

You can look these things up on your own. We don’t discuss children here.

Romeo, Leonardo, and Rafael. It's not discussing the children-- it's discussing the names

They all have a common American name as one of their middle names...Thomas, Charles, David, Lucas. They can always choose to go by one of their middle names as they become older

"The NYU alum and her 62-year-old husband gave all five of their children Spanish names - daughter Carmen Gabriela, 7; son Rafael Thomas, 5; son Leonardo Ángel, 4; son Romeo Alejandro, 2; and son Eduardo 'Edu' Pao Lucas, 3 months"

Nothing wrong with their names per se but they will ''wear' her lie for their entire lives. She knew what she was doing when she gave her children those names. And there is a high likelihood that she told the kids they are of Spanish heritage.

Even for a multicultural family, these names are odd choices. I'm in a bicultural family and we picked names that were familiar in both languages and wouldn't present any pronunciation challenges in either language. We asked other people in our situation and they directed us towards international names like Paul, Lucas, Anna, Maria, etc. I think in the US you can get away with everyone knowing Spanish names but it's still odd, especially since all the names are uniformly Spanish with no exception.

I think this was an attempt to force the Spanish heritage on others. Clearly they don't look Spanish and without the names she would appear less authentically Spanish.

To clarify, I meant the kids clearly don't look Spanish and without the Spanish names Hillary's Spanish heritage might be questioned.

oh, wow:

"Some are casting doubt on these claims though, including left-wing ethnic activists who are usually aligned with Baldwin."

You HAVE to go to Reddit and see what's over there! I don't know how to crosspost this so I just copied the text:

"So I know a tidbit about their wedding, and now that makes a TIN of sense.👀👀👀
Ok so I used to compete professionally on a few competitive ballroom dance circuits...some of which Hilary also competed as an Amateur. She also had relatives who competed (they are an eccentric bunch) who happen to be my students. They told me at the wedding they all had to sign with a paper promising not to speak with anyone of the Baldwin's under threat of blah blah blah. My hand to God I swear on my life this happened."

user is fliccolo and it was on the r[slash]hilariabaldwin subreddit from 5 days ago

From the Daily Mail:
In November 2012, Hilaria spoke with Vanity Fair España, telling how her family couldn't understand how to pronounce her new last name Baldwin

She said: 'I had to repeat it to my family three times: Baldddwinnn. And the third time they said Oh, we already know who it is! Why didn't you pronounce it right the first time?'

Love how her family did not know how to pronounce Baldwin

They did. She was the one mispronouncing it for spice. “Bollween! No, Mami- Bollween!”

She has 600 billion Instagram posts. If she could actually speak Spanish with any level of confidence or fluency, she'd be all over those posting videos and comments of just that. The same way she used hair dye and spray tan and name change and weird accent. That she didn't means she can't, IMO.

Joel Kinnaman has the exact background she's pretended to have, except Sweden instead of Spain. Foreign mother, American father, grew up in mother's native country going to local schools. The videos of him chattering away happily at length in Swedish on Swedish TV interviews are a dime a dozen (plus, you know, all the Swedish movies and TV shows he's made and stuff). He's also spent less time in the US than she claims to, did his higher education in Sweden and not here, and yet has basically no accent when speaking English and doesn't forget how to label common vegetables.

This story is so funny. The fact that they are still trying to defend this is Twilight Zone.

Tomorrow we'll probably see a post from Alec demanding why no one has attacked Hugh Laurie for pretending to be British. Seems to be about the level he's functioning on.

What I learned from the reddit thread:

Hillary is also lying about her age.

And I was so excited about looking younger than her.

She is?!?! I have read at least 100 pages of the DCUM here since Christmas. I've seen people here say she looks old for her age but I haven't bothered to find out how old she really is. ----> going to reddit now!

Of topic - I love Joel Kinnaman.

There's an interesting and unfortunate element about this in that it really does diminish the experiences of actual immigrants by spinning those very real identities into a gimmick. It's not a shtick to be from another country and culture (I am an immigrant myself, though I was a kid when i came here so no accent in English and I'm white w an inconspicuous name so nobody assumes I'm anything other than a WASPy American until I mention I'm technically even actually a refugee and Semitic) and it isn't something we are leveraging in order to be perceived as "special" but is our actually legitimate identity. So for me personally it makes me feel like it twists the narrative of being proud of your cultural heritage into a ploy for self promotion and leverage somehow. It makes me feel insecure about what ppl must think when I make it clear I am something other than what they perceive- do they think it is some cloying effort on my part to stand out, like folks such as Hilaria have done? Should I now be more restrained in my outward celebration of my identity for fear of ppl trivializing it? I may be totally going down a sort of ridiculous self-doubt rabbit hole about something that doesn't actually apply to my situation and creating an internal struggle for myself for no reason, but that is what this Hilary/Hilaria fraudulent mess has done to me personally so just wanted to get that off my chest. I'm riveted by it all and cannot fathom why anyone soyld do what she has done, but damn it is uncomfy

It’s pretty well-documented that her parents have been in Boston up until their retirement when they move to Spain in 2011/2012. I don’t know about Spanish schools but I’m guessing it’s not easy to slide in and out of schools. How could it be, which is why Americans abroad often send their kids to the American School of whatever place they are. In the video, she also said “American” high school when she was talking about the Hilary/Hilaria thing so she leaves the door open to make you wonder was there another non-American high school because most people would just say high school.

Her nuclear family (mom, dad, brother, brother’s Spanish wife, nephew) are the only people living in Spain, but Hilaria said in one of her early videos that about 40 family members came from Spain so it was a “really great party”. Now she is saying family and friends and Ireland said she felt so lucky to meet her “chosen family” at the wedding.

It’s like she leads you don’t the road to believing what she wants you to believe without actually saying it and blames you for getting it wrong because she never said that. That mommy podcast interview is exactly the same way.

There is one scenario I can think of that could explain some things. What if she is actually the product of an affair by one of her not-Spanish Massachsetts parents with a Spanish person? And she traveled back and forth a lot while growing up to see that biological parent? It's probably a farfetched idea, but if something like that happened, it would be an alternate explanation for why she felt so bold and free and justified to embrace a Spanish identity (including going so far as to put on a fake accent and pretend not to know the word for cucumber). Could also explain the vagueness and secrecy around when exactly she was in Spain, and why her husband is defending her. And if she was pressured by family to keep a huge secret like that, well, that could mess up your head. It's probably unlikely, but could be possible.

OMG. You should be her publicist. Wait, are you? That would be an amazing twist/comeback, if she could get people to buy it.

Do we know if her father is really her biological dad?

Hillary's parents have blogged about their decisions to have their 2 children while in medical school and how they juggled their responsibilities to raise the children. As well, people who were in elementary school with Hillary have started talking. The school was The Fayerweather Street School in Cambridge MA.

The issue is that here in the US certain nationalities and cultures are valued more than others, and that varies from region to region. We have become a nation of undulating trends and fads regarding cultures. We have no tangible culture here anymore, we did probably about 40 years ago, but that has almost vanished. So, as a result, some people pick and choose which cultures they want to adopt, even if that culture isn’t the “theirs” in order to fit into or attract a certain group or demographic. Hilaria is not the only person guilty of this. I see it happening on smaller scales everywhere. I think we have marginalized people to such an extremes, now everyone must fit into a certain box. That isn’t how it used to be. Everyone is trying so hard to fit in with some group, whether it’s a cultural/ethnic group, religious group, sexual orientation group, animal rights group, etc. its become really absurd, and frankly I am not surprised at all that someone would pretend to be something other than who they are. It’s happening everywhere.

I feel bad saying that because she suffered a terrible loss and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. But I cannot bear her narcissism.

It's not just her narcissism. It's that she's a liar. And she's the worst kind of opportunist. She traded her uterus for fame. The fact that CAA represents her let you know that she weighed having sex with Alec against having a talent agency represent her and decided it was a good Exchange. Add that to her fake Spanish background and you really see what kind of person she is. My cousin knew her growing up in Boston and said she was always trying to work an angle. She was always desperate for fame.

The woman who created the amazing subreddit r[slash]HilariaBaldwin has a great thread pinned at the top. She says that the DCUM page constantly takes down reddit posts here. So I'm posting this to see how long it lasts. *In order to get this to post I had to remove the reddit name and the r with the slash. DCUM moderator/creator must be blocking reddit. So if you go to reddit, just search for Hilaria Baldwin.

I appreciate that post & that poster, because she gives us the true props for where things got started on this, but...

she also kinda implies that Jeff is being paid off to take down any reditt related threads that talk sh!t about Hilaria, which I don't believe for a second.

He may not allow any reditt links at all, I can't see him caring about Hilaria or getting paid to remove reditt posts about her.

If that were the case, this thread wouldn't be 250+ pages.

I feel like Jeff has removed reddit links from other unrelated threads as well. Maybe there is a policy.

Maybe this will set the record straight. According to Hilary's genealogy, her Ethnicity is: English, Welsh, German, Scottish, Irish, Czech, and French-Canadian. NO Spanish blood in her whatsoever.
