Date night restaurant in Bethesda?

Got a sitter for Saturday night! Where should we go? Doesn't need to be fancy, just yummy food and drinks.

Food and Wine Co is tasty. Newton's Table and Mon Ami Gabi are delicious!

Other favorites include Jaleo, Raku, Black's, Cafe Deluxe, Woodmont Grill, etc.

Grapeseed is on the fancier side but really, really good. I second Jaleo, Food & Wine Co. and Black's from PP's list as well.

Mussel Bar is excellent and fun too.

Love Mon Ami Gabi. Haven't been to Food & Wine, but they don't have high chairs, so I'm guessing there will be fewer kids there than most places, which is nice for date night.

Found them blah. Grapeseed is overpriced.

If you want to go to Raku, definitely make a reservation. They are always packed on the weekends.

We like Woodmont Grille - consistently yummy food, dim lighting with live music, great service. Mon Ami Gabi is pretty good as well.

I used to lover Persimmon but haven't been since it's been renovated.

The new Gringo's and Mariachi's could be fun. Also, ROOF Bethesda and the new Tyber Bierhaus.

I find Blacks and Newtons Table a little overpriced.

Food Wine and Co is a good recc.

There are some nicer "ethnic" possibilities, like Yuzu, Kadhai/Passage to India, Faryab.

We like Mon Ami but it's noisy (unless it's summer and you have an outside table), so keep that in mind if you want a quiet chat. Good for our "date night" when 11-month DD comes along though!

We like Nest (behind the Giant) and Guardado's. Faryab is a good place for a quiet chat, and has great food too.

We liked Gringos and Mariachis the other night. It's not a romantic atmosphere--loud, young, and hip. But good tacos and drinks.
