My husband and I both turn 40 this year and we want to throw a big bash to celebrate. Going to be casual, in our backyard (Reston). I was thinking of trying to hire a food truck to come instead of getting it catered- has anyone ever done this? Do you know how much we would expect to pay (ballpark for around 75 people)? Any recommendations for good ones that would come to Reston and are available for special events? Thanks so much for any advice!!!!

So would Ppl have to wait in line to get their food from the truck?
I would just go to the website of whatever food truck you like best and contact them about catering. I'm sure most would be game. |
| When people do this for weddings I feel like they usually have two food trucks for variety, and I think you pay them a flat fee for a certain window of time. I think it works well. |
| I did research and the minimum charge was generally $1000-$1500 depending on the truck. The food was priced individually, but you had to agree to the minimum charge. |
So there's obviously a discount on the food....? As with any catering, I imagine they wouldn't need to offer their full menu. That's how you keep the line moving quickly. |

| I have experience with this. You will want 2 to 3 trucks to avoid lines. Each truck will have varying pricing depending on what they serve (lobster rolls are more expensive than Mac and cheese) maybe do a limited menu from each truck to keep the line moving. And don't forget about dessert! |
| We like LA Taco Truck. |
