| He got up crying from his sleep and his eye was filled with liquid white stuff. The kind of thing your eye makes when you sleep. He hashad this all day in both eyes but now it seems alot. DH keeps telling me its allergies and now I'm getting a little concerned. I will call the doctor in the morning but thought maybe someone would have some insight on here. |

I had something like that and it was bacterial pinkeye. Treated with antibiotics.
It was super gross, and because I'm not good about going to the doctor, it got to the point where I could barely see, but it was actually much less uncomfortable or itchy than normal viral pinkeye. |
| Thanks pP. I will call his doctor and take him in tomorrow. |
| Sounds like pinkeye. |

It is pinkeye- My daughter got it a while ago.
I took her out of her seat and went into the grocery-all was fine-and the next time I looked down she had white stuff oozing out of one eye. Keep your son out of daycare/preschool for 24 hours after you start using the medicine. |
| Yup pink eye. I got it myself a few years ago on New Years Eve from a hotel pillow (gross!!!). If you can't get to the doctor any minute clinic can prescribe the medicated eye drops. Watch his hands. You can easily transfer it to the other eye. If it starts itching use a warm wash cloth over the one eye but again be careful not to touch the other. The warm compress also helps if he wakes up all crusty. Yes I have too much experience with it. |
| Make sure you bring her to the doctor- ear infections can happen with pink eye in young kids. |
| Super contagious. Wear gloves while doing the eye drops if possible, and whatever you do, don't touch your eyes for the next 2-3 days. |
