A pox on the buyers who stole my house

A pox on you and the sellers. Especially for not calling us for our final and best offer after we speak hours listening to your bullshit. I hope your old asses fall down those stairs, and I know you ain't got good taste.

Sellers dodged a bullet. Maybe they knew what they were doing.

Wait, you talked to sellers? And what BS was discussed? Sounds like they were stringing you along to play some other patsy. Did you offers have expiration times?

Don't know, if sellers had some song and dance, maybe OP buyer was lucky one.

this is exactly what happened to us. i wonder if it was the same dishonest realtor, OP?

i refuse to work with this realtor again. sneaky and unprofessional. i wouldn't blame the buyers though. they probably did not know how everyone was getting played.

So unnattractive (this attitude)... it's frustrating but some day someone may return the favor in your direction, so get over yourselves.

I have a lot of bitterness leftover from when we bought our house. Real estate agents in general are shady (of course, there will be a stream of realtors now on this thread who insist that it's only a few bad apples, but that's BS).

Add to that the fact that even seemingly nice, honest people suddenly become sneaky and dishonest when they go to sell their house. I was so incredibly disappointed by some of the things sellers lied about -- out and out LIED.

So many games. It is really a disgusting side of civil society.

I think you don't understand how businesses work

I don't get it. Why should the sellers have to chase you down for a better offer? If you wanted to go higher, put in an escalation clause. It seems like you want the sellers to ping-pong back and forth between you and the other offeror, watching you each creep up in tiny increments. If I'm the seller, I want finality. I set a deadline, and whichever offer is best gets the house.

Two realtors dominate our neighborhood and price-fixed it to create an artificial low. Houses on a very busy main road around the corner with smaller lots and homes list for 500k to 1 mil more.

A seller does not have to choose one of these two realtors. If your neighbors are not happy, use a different realtor. Or am I missing something?
