How long did you use your jogging stroller?

The hand-me-down jogging stroller I have been using broke recently, and I am contemplating buying a new one. My DC is 15 months old, though, and I am wondering how much longer I will be able to use a stroller. Is it worth it to buy a new one? I will mostly be using it for long walks on a nearby path (some areas are unpaved). How long did you use your jogging stroller? Can any of you recommend an inexpensive but durable brand/model?

We used it till about 2 - and then my child wanted to walk and not be in a stroller - even for long walks.

We still use it regularly for our 21 month old. And...my brother and SIL still put their 5 year old in their Bob occasionally! It's pretty rare, but on days when we're going to be out for a long time (parades, watching uncle in a marathon, fairs and festivals), they pop her in it when she's tired. And sometimes, she just wants to "go for a run" with her mom.

Great question! I have been wondering the same thing since I have a hand-me down jogging stroller that's on it's last legs. My DD just turned 2, but still likes going for walks in the stroller and enjoys being outside in it -- I just don't know how much longer that will last. If I knew she'd willingly ride in it for another year I'd invest in a new one. I guess if you buy a new one and your DC starts to hate it soon after you can always sell it as "barely used" on eBay or Craig's List.

Still use with my 2 yo although we do stop along long walks so he can get out to run/play. My niece/nephew used one at least until they were 4.....liked to go on runs w/ dad also.

Used ours through age 3 and would still be using it for runs if I wasn't pregnant. Admittedly, son is less into long runs at this point. We use ours for running, though--if you are using yours for just walking, you might not want to invest.
