My sister is getting married in Marin (Marin Headlands) in April. What the hell do I wear? I can never figure out the weather there.
Hose or no? Sandals or pumps? Ack. Help. |
|
bring a coat or jacket - not kidding.
outdoor or indoor? |
Indoor. But I think there may be some trotting around outside for photos. A coat? Gah. So then no sandals... |
I'm sure pp meant a light jacket--not a down parka
|
| I'd be prepared. San Fran can be chilly. Definitely hose, close toed shoes, and a wrap. |
| Nope, I meant coat - not parka but heavier than a light jacket for sure. I used to live there. it can be 75 on the peninsula but the minute you hit SFO, it is COLD and wet and its very unpredictable. |
| it really depends. you have to be prepared for all kinds of weather. I have been in SF for 2 weeks and it's been beautiful, sunny and 70s. I bring a coat everywhere I go ( as everyone recommends). (a lightweight down jacket). I have never used it though. I'm sure the one day i decide not to bring it then it will be freezing. |
| Are they getting married at the hotel next to the Golden Gate Bridge? If it's in the morning it can be foggy and cold but generally marin is sunnier and warmer than sf. I would check the weather ahead of time but likely it'll be in the 60's and cool in the morning and evening. Have fun- we are from Marin and I miss it so much! |
| Have a pretty scarf that can double as, well, a scarf. Really. |
| April is rainy season there. |

I just want to say I am very, very jealous. My favorite place on Earth and I only get back every 2 years now.
Definitely bring a jacket, but it'll probably be too nice to wear it. Cashmere sweater would work, too. |
