How often do you talk to your child's teacher/director about applying for schools for next year?

I kind of got the feeling that I am "bugging" my child's teacher and director by talking about schools for my child for next year. Seriously, I haven't talked about it that much. Here and there with some questions. Aren't they supposed to help us out with figuring out some aspects of this?

Is this the last year for your dc's school? If so, it seems the school would have an organized effort. Or are you leaving early?

Is it a school where lots of kids go to private schools afterwards? If not, maybe they just can't really help you. If it is, maybe they get tired of all of the parents bugging them about it. Don't you just need to give them the forms to fill out for the school? What else are you asking them about?
