We are driving on Thursday out to Nashville for a Monday appointment at Vanderbilt (also touring Nashville and I have a taping to attend Fri. Nite). Then on to the Atlanta area to see Emory University. We are then meandering home from Atlanta and figured we'd informally drive through a few campuses on the way home. Clemson is right on the way. Anything else?
Not sure if she wants to see UVA. She's resistant to a VA school. |
| We are doing a southern tour, too! What about Sewanee (University of the South) before you head to Atlanta? Gorgeous small campus, but remote. The other choices seem pretty obvious in North Carolina for a student who is viable for Vandy: Duke, Wake, and Davidson. The VA colleges are very different--does she reject the entire state?? |
|
Yep, she rejects the state - at the moment. Quirky kid - HA! She's not interested in Duke. Will check Wake, Sewanee, and Davidson - thank you!
Where are you headed? |
| Sewanee is right on our way to Atlanta! Great call PP. Thank you. AND they have a direct partnership with Vandy nursing graduate program, so that's a plus. |
| My niece is very interested in Alabama right now and the University of South Carolina. She wants to be a physical therapist who works with wounded warriors and those schools have a PT program. |
I am the mom of two soldiers, one of whom was seriously injured in Afghanistan. Please tell your daughter how very much those therapists mean to wounded servicemen and servicewomen and their families. The very fact that she is considering such a noble calling makes me tear up. You should be very proud of her. |
| High Point University |
| University of Georgia in Athens. They have a great honors program, and it's a great overall school. |
|
Furman in Greenville
Elon (Are you coming back on 85-95?) Duke, UNC, High Point |
Go Dawgs! |

Bless you, and thank YOU. Military families serve in their own special way. You are to be commended for raising not one, but two children willing to serve. A grateful nation appreciates your service and sacrifice. *hugs* |
| 16:51 again. Glad you are visiting Sewanee. I did a summer program there as a high school student and fell in love with it. It is too remote for my son. He wants something smallish, so we are looking at Wake, Elon, Davidson, and Furman and ending up at Emory, the biggest on the list. Have fun! |
| Rhodes in Memphis, if that's not too far out of your way. |
