I have some acne scars on my chin that I would like to find some way to minimize. has anyone done any of the dermatologist procedures (peels, dermabrasion, etc)? Did they help? What was the approx cost?
thanks. These have been bugging me for years and I've decided this year to invest in myself a little. |
I tried a temporary filler a year ago (it lasts about a year), can't recall the name of it but it really did not do the trick. I spent around $325-350? |
Retinol can help with this. Dr. Brandt's microdermabrasion is pretty much as good as going to the derm -- it's really great. Also anything with vitamin E in it. I like the M.D. Forte line, especially the rejuvenation lotion. |
14:45 again. Not sure about Retinol, I've been using Retin-A for over a year and it hasn't affected the scars at all? |
I think Retin-A is retinol in a higher strength.
There are scars, and then there are scars. I have superficial acne scars and some hyperpigmentation from suffering more than my fair share of acne. I have found that they fade and can almost completely heal with certain treatments. Philosophy's Help Me is good. MD Forte's rejuvenation lotion is good. It can get me to the point where, once I have my make-up on, you wouldn't see scars (though you certainly wouldn't say I have the most beautiful complexion you've ever seen). If a scar is pitted, it's much harder to get some healing. I'd talk to a derm like Dr. Fuchs. |
