Quinoa recipes?

Hi,
I'm trying to lose some weight and be more protein-heavy. I've heard quinoa is a healthy protein grain. Does anyone like it or have any good recipes to share? Thanks!

This is pretty good, I used Rao as the sauce http://www.averiecooks.com/2014/02/lightened-up-cheesy-quinoa-lasagna-bake.html
You might want to do a side with it though, it kind of a boring texture if that makes any sense. I did cannellini beans with olive oil, fresh garlic and oregano.

I make quinoa pilaf: saute veggies in a small amount of oil, then add quinoa and hot chicken or veg broth, cover and simmer about 20 minutes until liquid is absorbed.

I like Trader Joe's frozen oatmeal with quinoa!

I can't find the recipe but there is one on Pinterest I found...quinoa cooked in broth and then you add some like juice, garlic, cilantro, black beans and corn. I like it cold for lunch but you could have it warm. I added shrimp, very good!

I always cook quinoa in chicken broth vs water to add flavor

You can it as a rice or pasta replacement. It has SO many uses though! It makes a great oatmeal replacement. I've made buffalo bites with it. All sorts of stuff. The only drawback is that it's EXPENSIVE. I will only buy the 4lb bag from Costco. That makes it dirt cheap.

I never do the pom seeds, but always the oranges (I use clementines).

I use a whole can of black beans and use Cajun shrimp on top. Probably my most favorite recipe of all time.

My personal favorite is quinoa with vegetables - usually asparagus, red pepper, peas (snap or shelled) - and feta with lemon juice, olive oil and black pepper mixed in.
