OK, this may be a stretch, but I am 14 weeks and really interested in the idea of a nanny share. A former co-worker in Arlington did it and raved about both the nanny and the other family she shared the nanny with, so when I got pregnant, I wanted to look into it. I live in Bethesda, so a family that lives close and will have an infant about the same age would be ideal...but I have no idea where to start.
On another note, if I am unsuccessful in my search for a nanny-share, anyone recommend a good daycare in Bethesda? I have looked, but don't see anything that takes infants under 18 months. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!!! |
Hi There. There are a TON of good daycares in the area...my biggest recommendation would be to go visit some (you can check out the MD Daycares forum on this website to get ideas) and get on the waitlist AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!! As far as Nanny shares are concerned, there is also a link on this website for that forum, and my sense is that people generally wait a bit longer before posting/looking for someone. Although, you might get lucky and find another 14-weeker looking to plan ahead. Good luck to you! |
Hi there!
I live in Bethesda and am 17 weeks. I am interested in exploring all options for daycare because I'll be going back to work around 3 months. To be honest, I have no clue what a nanny share really is but would like to find-out! There are certain things that appeal to me about daycare more than a nanny but like I just wrote, I really don't have all of the facts. Depending on where you live in Bethesda, there may or may not be a lot of day care options. We live in west Bethesda (closer to Potomac versus downtown) and there aren't many at all. Downtown, there are a lot. If you want to communicate further, my email is annchill123@yahoo.com. Thanks! |
