Do you celebrate your dog's birthday?

Tomorrow is our sweet dog's 7th bday! She'll be getting a special canned version of her dog food - she *loves* that. And a brushing/walk/play time.

Do you celebrate your dog's birthday? If so, how?

Yes, in fact we have a cake for her with her name written on it. But we have little kids and cake is a big part of our life.

I should add she also gets a chew toy and a piece of the cake. We sing Happy Birthday and I make an attempt to put a hat on her.

I do not know her birthday, but we absolutely celebrate het"gotcha day", the day we brought her home from the shelter!

We are nuts, but my kids love it. We have a cake and sing happy bday. We get the dog a few presents.

Absolutely. Even if you are not sure of the actual date. Take lots of pics of the "party," as you will cherish those one day. I miss my dogs!

I give my dog baked salmon with a little topping of Greek yogurt and a half-portion of her regular kibble.

Yes, we do! We have cake (one for humans and one for pup), presents, party hats, the works. Our kids love it, the dog loves the attention and treats and my husband and I just love any excuse for cake

These are so cute! I'm loving the fact that so many of you do birthday cake for your doggies .

Yes of course.

Now that my older dog is arthritic and can't walk far on his own, I push him in a stroller to the commercial strip near our house and buy him a hot dog for his birthday. I just looked over at him and it occurs that he might not make it to his next birthday in August. I believe aim going to go bawl now, excuse me ....

This almost made me bawl thinking of how I used to get my dog a hamburger as a treat once or twice a year. I absolutely love how much all of you adore your pups.

Yes! My GSD's 4th birthday is coming up on April 4th this year. 4 years old on 4/4! Hoping the weather is nice so that we can play lots of frisbee (his favorite) in the backyard. He'll get a new squeaky toy, scraps from human dinner mixed in with his kibble, and perhaps a whole hot dog or sausage.

This is awesome. You are awesome.

I recently saw a man walking an elderly dog while also pushing another (presumably) elderly dog who cannot walk in a stroller. I was nearly brought to happy tears! It truly warmed my heart.
