Face painter for child's birthday party

Any recommendations? What's the average cost?

If the kids are young (below K, I'd say), you or another adult could do this yourselves. I'm not artistic, but the simple designs are very easy to do and little kids are happy with them. Klutz has a good book/kit.

Do it yourself if it is a small party with young kids. You can have a paper with some simple designs that kids can choose from- flower, rainbow, pig, cat, dog, fish, star, etc. young kids would be happy with this selection.

She's the director of a large daycare. Her work is great!

Also, remember that face painting, by itself, won't entertain them. They will speed whole party standing in line. Face painting is an add on

Lynn of Sparkle Lynn Designs did face painting for my 5YO'S birthday party. We had the party at a playground, so the kids played and then came over when it was their turn to get their face painted. Lynn was really fabulous - and while I agree that any adult could do basic designs - Lynn's face painting was spectacular, and everyone loved it. We had some time left at the end of the party, and she even painted some of the adults faces.

Super boring since they will not see on themselves. I never got the face painting thing. Never so a child enjoying it or having fun while getting it done or waiting for it.

I haven't seen any kids that don't enjoy it.

You haven't been around much have you? Which 4yo likes being in line half hour then sitting for more time to get something done and not being able to see it?

That's why you plan other activities besides face painting. Plus the face painters bring a mirror so the child can see it.

Lame.

omg. Negative poster! Are you STILL bitter about the time you got to the head of the line and was told that face painting time was over?
