Care Package Ideas for Grandfather

My grandfather (who is in his early 80s) is unexpectedly in the hospital. I'd like to send him a care package and would love some ideas as to what to include. I am thinking of the usual items (snacks, magazines, cards from the kiddos) but was hoping to get some other ideas. Thansk in advance!

Will he be there for a little while? What does he like for music? Maybe you could send him a portable cd player/radio or ipod with music on it that he will like.

+1 on slippers and a blanket. My sister was in the hospital for am extended stay so we brought her a soft, plush blanket that she always had wrapped around her

deck of cards, large-print crossword or word search books & sharpened pencils (you can get large-print at dollar tree)

Bottle of hand sanitizer with a big note "Doctors, Nurses, Staff, please use this or wash hands. Thank you."

Slippers with rubber or other gripping soles.

My dad likes those books of word searches. Good slippers and a real robe are also nice. Photos of the grandkids to show off to the nurses.
