I can change a diaper in total darkness.

I can gauge my baby's fever within a half-degree, using only my lips.

Me too! My daughter thrived for the first 6 mo of her life ingesting nothing but the milk my body made to feed her (and it remained the staple for the next 8 mo). Pretty incredible!

I really like this thread.

I can fold laundry with an infant on my lap.

I can load or unload the dishwasher, washer or dryer while holding her in one arm.

I can hold her bottle with my chin while holding a book in one hand and changing the channel with the other. (only for a moment, though.)

I can get myself ready for work in about 15 minutes, including shower, before she wakes up.

But yet I still can't manage to capture one of her cute smiles on camera - they're fleeting!

I can tune out screams, yells and crashing sounds, all background noise to me. But I get worried when it is quiet.

OP here... I saw the t-shirt that says "I make milk. What's your super power?" and it was the inspiration for this thread!

I can quiet a baby who has been screaming for 2 hours in thirty seconds, and make milk

I have the power of "1...2...3" and my children actually listen by the time I say 3!

I can distinguish an "I'm hungry" cry from an "I'm tired" cry from a "I'm frustrated/angry" cry. I can solve the first two problems way better, though.

I can usually tell what my children are thinking and feeling, with great accuracy, even the baby.

I can tell when my child is GOING to have a fever -- 30 to 45 minutes before it happens. (Clue: his hair stands on end.)

I magically recall where in our home or yard any toy has been placed, dropped or hidden. My husband is very impressed by this. "Where my luke sywalker figure- on the ledge behind the curtain, where's the extra track for the Diego train set? In the fuit drawer in the fridge.... etc!

I thought making a baby and milk were pretty cool, but like all the other suggestions. Mine is that I can change my wiggly Ds's diaper in a public restroom and then also go potty myself while holding him without anything/anyone touching nasty surfaces. It took me a few months to master!
