Is this the baby? Mild menstrual-like and gas-like cramps

I am 20 weeks and this past weekend I started feeling mild menstrual-like cramps and gas-like cramps below my belly button. Is this the baby? There are no sharp pains and it doesn't really hurt so I am going to wait to ask my dr at my appt this week, but wondering if anyone has felt similar.

Was it definite cramping (uncomfortable, a little painful)? Any discharge?

If not, and it wasn't a "bothersome" feeling, it might just be you are actually feeling the baby move for the first time (although most would probably describe as little butterflies moving or popcorn popping or something along the lines)

It was very mild and not real cramping. It is cramp-like because I really didn't know how else to describe it. No discharge.
