Prilosec vs. Prevacid

Help! I have been suffering on and off with bad acid reflux at night over the past couple of weeks. I want to try a 2 week treatment of either Prilosec or Prevacid before seeing a doctor to see if that helps. I had a really bad night last night so am buying one of them today to start tomorrow morning. But I don't know which to pick! They both have different active ingredients. Which has worked better for you, or which hasn't worked for you? Advice please! Thank you
