Lutherans and Confirmation

We belong to an ELCA Lutheran church and my DD is in the confirmation program. It lasts three years, which seems super-long to me. (I grew up in the Catholic church where the program lasted for one year.)
Do all Lutheran congregations take this approach. |

OP here. Thanks. I wish ours were two years. One year would be even better. Three just seems interminable. |
