I love my costco cash back rewards card but I need a backup MC or Visa for places that don't accept Amex. What are the best deals these days? Thanks!

We have the Fidelity Visa Earn 1.5 points for each $1 spent on the first $15,000 in purchases per year, and 2 points per $1 in purchases made thereafter.1 Every 5,000 points can be converted into a $50 deposit into your eligible Fidelity account.2 |
| I think capitol one has a 1.5% cashback card too |
| Chase freedom is pretty good and has flex categories where I think you get 3-5% cash back. Otherwise 1%. They do the cash back quarterly. |
Discover is better in that it's always 5% cash back categories and 1% on all other purchases. |
| Fidelity 2% cash back or capital one venture card (it's not cash back but it's basically the same since you can use points to pay for taxis, hotel, airfare, restaurants) |
That's exactly what Chase freedom does. |
NP here. I have Chase, I don't like how you have to sign up each quarter. |
Well, PP said 3-5% cash back, which implied that the percentage is anywhere from 3-5. Discover is always 5% on those categories (though I really hate some of them, like restaurants and movies has been from Jan-March this year and we literally never go out to eat or go to the movies, so the category thing is worthless to me sometimes. But I like that I can use my cash back directly on Amazon purchases (no minimum), and if you connect with online retailers through ShopDiscover, you can sometimes get 10-20% cash back. My BofA card is 3% on groceries, 2% on gas, and 1% everything else, same with my Wells Fargo card. |
