I actually don't mind posts like these and actually find them useful! Might be time to think about giving them an Ad forum like u have for nanny Etc

I was really interested in this but after a lot of digging around on the website it seems you have to commit to fundraising $500 to participate? That is quite steep!

An ad forum would defeat the revenue from the ads that are along either side of the pages. There are a ton of charities out there that would post their fundraising gig in the ad forum for free and that wouldn't be fair to companies (for profit business, I know) like Zulily McD, and the like that pay for their posting on DCUM.

I am participating and am very excited about this program! I loved my Team in Training experiences pre-baby, and this is perfect for me as a new mom to be able to work out with my baby in a stroller and also meet other moms.

As a 4-time alum of Team in Training, I can tell you that it really isn't hard to raise $500! It seems steep but they give you A LOT of support and lots of ideas. I am someone who absolutely HATES asking people for money and I was able to raise almost $15,000 over 4 seasons through emails, letters, Facebook posts and simple fundraisers with teammates.

Give it a try. The organization does there very best to help you reach your goal and the training is top notch!!

I really dislike LLS/TIT. I hate to say it, but I do.

I've been on the "recipient end" of those letters from friends doing training/fundraising. And then, once you give, LLS just KEEPS COMING BACK for more donations! And TIT is now contacting me to join programs that aren't even that close to me, so I can do my own fundraising.

I don't doubt the training, and I don't doubt the charity; but I don't like the perpetual fundraising.
